Candidates below are listed in alphabetical order (Last Name)

Sharon King

Personal: Sharon, and her husband Mike, have been residents of Lake Country for 6 years and active LCPC members since the club was formed. Sharon is currently co-captain of Group 4.0 and is also a member of the Vernon and Kelowna Pickleball Clubs.

Experience: Sharon brings over 23 years of experience working for the North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission where she managed registration programs for 11 community recreation centers. Sharon also served 11 years as a Director of Flicka Gymnastics, one of the largest gymnastics programs in BC.

Platform: I bring a lot of experience in the recreation field that can help LCPC in a number of areas including the continued development of our relationship with the District of Lake Country. I believe the club needs to have a long term vision to bring more pickleball facilities to Lake Country; an outreach program to develop youth pickleball; and provide additional programs for all members to learn and improve their skill level.  We need to work to increase court availability, get more creative with our scheduling, and offer more programs to all skill levels in the club.
